This is an early Spring picture of the Lake Street Bridge located in Chicago. Illinois in Cook County. This bridge is an example of a Metal Rivet-Connected Warren Through Truss, Moveable: Double Leaf Bascule Bridge, it has two decks, the lower deck carries vehicles and pedestrian traffic, the upper deck carries commuter trains over the South Branch of the Chicago River. Looming in the background is the iconic Chicago Merchandise Mart. This picture was taken on April 11, 2018.
