This picture shows beehive colony located in rock cavity. There were bees on the hive at that movement. It is a large beehive which composed by several hives. It is photographed in 2020 at Rathnapura Sri Lanka. Bees are some of the most hard working creatures in the planet. They use rock cavities caves hollow trees as natural nesting sites. In warmer climates they may occasionally build exposed hanging nests. For the honey production the Western honey bee(Apis mellifera)and the Eastern honey bee(Apis serana)are the main species kept in hives.
