Parque Ecologico Nelson Lorena honors an important personality of the city. Lorena composed the anthem of Cachoeira Paulista and still had outstanding performance as a sculptor, teacher, painter and musician from Cachoeirense. The park was inaugurated in 1993 and since then is one of the main leisure areas of the city, with lakes and kiosks. In the park are located the House of the Craftsman, full of souvenirs and utilities produced by local artists, and the Historical and Pedagogic Museum Dr. Costa Júnior, which gathers since 1972 several old objects and documents that portray the history of Cachoeira Paulista and of residents Illustrious
