The species includes several subspecies, among which the deer of Bactriane, the deer of Turkestan, red deer of Turkestan or still red deer of Turkestan. The female is the hind and the young, up to the age of 6 months, the fawn. Then, from 6 months to 1 year, we call herit ` bichette ` if it is a female and `an a miserable wretch` if it is about a male. From 1 year to 2 years, the young male is called `brocket` with two big dry wood.
