For evergreen shrubs or trees of Ligustrum, up to 25 meters; bark is grayish brown. Yellowish brown, gray or purplish red, cylindrical, sparsely circular or oblong lenticels. Panicle apex, 8~20 cm long, 8~25 cm wide; peduncle long 0~3 cm; inflorescence shafts and branching axes glabrous, purple or yellow brown, fruit prismatic; the base bracts are often conidentical with leaves, bracts lanceolate or linear, long 0.5~6 cm long, 0.2~1.5 cm wide and withered; flowers sessile or sessile, not more than 1 mm long. Calyx glabrous, long 1.5~2 mm, teeth not obvious or near truncate; corolla long 4~5 mm, corolla length 1.5~3 mm, lobes long 2~2.5 mm, fold: filament long 1.5-3 mm, anther oblong, long 1~1.5 mm; style long 1.5~2 mm, stigma rod like.
