The city of San Francisco is named for the Saint Francis of Assisi. Likewise, so is the St Francis Wood neighborhood. Where as St Francis dedicated himself to a life of poverty among other virtues, the St Francis Wood neighborhood is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the whole country. Not only are the homes lots twice the size of the average for this city, and very well maintained professionally, the neighborhood itself has two decorative fountains, adding to the areas park like appeal.
