China is a developing country because there are still many people living below the poverty line. Especially in the mountainous areas of western China, because of the inconvenience of transportation and lack of resources, local people can not receive a good education, there is no good health care, economic sources mainly rely on agriculture and handicrafts, the income is very low. Every year, the government invests a lot of money to help them maintain a basic lives. It was on a mountain road in Liangshan, Sichuan Province, where women took their children for a walk on the cement road repaired by the government.
