The Contraparada’s surrounding was quite damaged from an environmental point of view, and it was necessary an urgent adjustment of the place due to its historical value. The work which has been carried out in this hydraulic complex, has resulted in an area of environmental sanitation pruning, replanting, elimination of invasive species... and another area of conditioning for the citizen’s use creation of paths, viewpoints, rest areas, explanatory signaling, building of two big wooden walkways over the river and a small museum centre.
