Cherry plum Prunus cerasifera is also called cherry plum, or plum spread, it is a representative of the genus plum family pink. This fruit woody plant-one of the original forms of domestic plum. The name of this plant came from the Azerbaijani language, and it is translated as `small plum`. The homeland of cherry plum is the Caucasus and southwest Asia. Also in the wild it can be found in Moldova, the Balkans and the North Caucasus, in the southern part of Ukraine, the Tien Shan, as well as in Iran. Cherry plum is cultivated in Ukraine, Asia, Russia and Western Europe.
