Location of this monument is Gardens of Mendez Núñez s. The gardens were created in the 19th century in the landfill of the sea. They were inaugurated in the year 1868 and were known as Jardines del Ensanche. In 1871 it was decided to give them the name of the Galician sailor Casto Méndez Núñez and later the buildings that surround the wooded area were built. Park located in the center of A Coruña, where the Alfonso Kiosk and the headquarters of the National Radio of Spain RNE and Spanish Television TVE are located.
