The appeal of the past, be it abandoned factory buildings, derelict hospitals, gyms, cinemas or, for example, disused greenhouses, is gigantic. The fan base of those who set off with their cameras is growing, as is the number of vendors organizing photo tours to these abandoned places. The look into the past tells small but also very big stories and one`s own imagination is also set in motion. In spite of all decay, photographers preserve the magical places steeped in history as time documents and thus open up this world to outsiders.
