Borodinsky bridge located in the town of Kamyshin, Volgograd region. It is a road and pedestrian bridge that connects the southern and Northern parts of the city.nnIts construction began in 1957 by architect A. F. Boldyrev on the site of the old wooden bridge. The construction was supervised by engineer J. G. Taranov. At the end of 1959 the first tests were carried out.nnThe bridge is 250 meters long, 10 meters wide and 40 meters high. Also during its construction it became necessary to build dams on both banks of the river Kamyshinka. The entire engineering design rests on 4 pillars, each of which scored at the 96 piles.nnIn the 1990s, the reconstruction and expansion of the Borodino bridge was carried out. Due to the heavy load on the bridge, which is constantly growing, in 2008 it took a major overhaul. In 2013, there were also repairs.
