Mamayev Kurgan is the largest complex in the world dedicated to the great Patriotic War. The hill is located in the center of Volgograd, on the right Bank of the Volga. On Mamayev Kurgan there is a monument-ensemble `Heroes of the battle of Stalingrad`. Its location is no coincidence ââ¬â during the war there were fierce battles. The one who occupied the mound could control almost the entire city.
