The Border Collie is a well-proportioned dog with a harmonious and athletic appearance, it generally has a moderately long, low set tail, well supplied with hair that ends up curved upwards. In action it can get up, but it is never carried on its back. The dog is medium in size. Colors are all allowed; the most common type is white-black. The hair can be long 5-7 cm or short. It is, in any case dense, of soft and dense texture. The eyes are well spaced, oval, of average size. The color is brown, except in the subject blue merle for which they can be individually or both blue.
