This photograph is of a Grizzly Bear in the Lamar River in Yellowstone National Park. A ranger said that he the Grizzly had been coming to this location to eat every day for the past week. The buffalo had drowned in the river due to flooding rains. It was speculated that the buffalo had been worn out and in a weakened condition due to the mating season which had just ended.
