Pictured is Unitltled`, a bronze sculpture by minimalist American sculptor Joel Shapiro, known for his dynamic work composed of simple rectangular shapes. . The sculture was a gift from Nobel Laureat Dr. Joseph L. Goldstein in 2019. The piece was commissioned especially for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Talley Dunn Gallery helped Dr. Goldstein identify the sculpture to be donated and handled all the logistics of getting the piece from the artists studio to Dallas for installation. Of interest, all Joel Shapiro`s mature works are untitled.
