La Lanzada beach Praia da Lanzada in Galician is one of the most famous in Galicia Spain. It is located between the tourist municipality of Sanxenxo at the southern tip of the Salnés Region.1 It has been awarded multiple times with the Blue Flag. It is located on the southwest side of the isthmus that connects the O Grove peninsula with the mainland. It is located near the beginning of the Pontevedra estuary and the northern end of the isthmus bordering the mouth of the Arosa estuary. Its north end is very close to the tourist town of San Vicente del Mar El Grove. La Lanzada is a very large beach: it measures 2.5 kilometers in length, more than three if the adjacent sections of Areas Gordas and Lapa are taken into account.
