Among the lupine at St Matthews Chapel Sugar Hill, New Hampshire One of the locations that`s been on a bucket list for years now, I finally made it to the lupine fields of Sugar Hill, with St Matthews Chapel as my number one stop. Sugar Hill, named after the many sugar maple trees in the area, is the quintessential definition of charming New England. With less than 700 residents and nestled away in a sleepy corner of the White Mountains, it`s a perfect getaway. It has the white steepled churches, quaint shops and a gorgeous countryside, and if you`re lucky you will run into black bear or moose. I saw both! Every June, the lupine begin to bloom and the town welcomes visitors with open arms to the annual lupine festival, which has been increasingly popular in recent years. If you ever decide to visit, the people are just as sweet as the town, with @pollyspancakeparlor , Harman’s Cheese, @reklisbrewing and the Fransted family campground, making you feel right at home.
