The border village of Hřensko forms the entrance gate to the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The driveway from Děčín to Hřensko itself is breathtaking for its beautiful scenery of a huge canyon of sandstone rocks and the river Elbe. The surrounding rocks rise from the canyon hundreds of meters above the river and guard the surroundings as guards. Due to its location at the confluence of the Elbe and Kamenice rivers, Hřensko with its 115 m.n.m. the lowest place in the Czech Republic. Despite the very low altitude, the surrounding landscape creates a remarkable phenomenon, thanks to which you will feel as if you are in the mountains. The nature in which Hřensko is set is admirable.
