Pictured is the front of the Carthaginian II shipwreck in 97 feet of water in the Pacific Ocean half a mile offshore of Puamana Beach Park in Maui, Hawaii. It was photographed from an Atlantis Adventures submarine tour. Atlantis sank the ship on December 13th, 2005, after being approached by the Lahaina Restoration Foundation which had used the ship as a floating museum for 32 years. It has become encrusted with coral and is surrounded by reef fish. It has become an attraction for scuba divers and submarine tours.
