Although it was midsummer, on top of the mountain it was still cold and raining. But amidst all the grey colors in the sky the top plateau of the Flatruet area was covered in flowering mountain heath Phyllodoce Caerulea. All of a sudden three eurasian dotterel Charadrius Morinellus landed close to me and began foraging. They are not where concerned about human presence as long as you don`t make any sudden moves and eventually they came quite close to where I was waiting.
