A new Basilica of Our Lady of La Vang is under construction. This basilica started construction in 2012 and will be continued. During the year 2020-2021, sometimes construction has to be stopped because of Covid-19. Regrettably, the old Basilica was destroyed by the war in the summer of 1972. La Vang church is well-known with the names as La Vang holy land or Our lady of La Vang. It is one of the top must-see place of the tourists when visit Vietnam. La Vang holy land belongs to Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province. The new basilica blends architecture between Catholic style and traditional Vietnamese style.
