‎The Basilica of Sant`Apollinare in Classe is a basilica located in Ravenna, in 1960 elevated to the dignity of minor basilica by Pope John XXIII. The basilica has been included, since 1996, in the list of Italian World Heritage Sites by UNESCO, within the serial site `Early Christian Monuments of Ravenna`. In 2015 it was the most visited monument in Emilia-Romagna. ‎The church still ‎‎preserves the beauty of the original structure‎‎ and is admired for the splendid ‎‎polychrome mosaics‎‎ of its apse basin and the ancient marble sarcophagi of the archbishops placed along the aisles.‎
