Tapas are traditional Spanish food served on small plates. Each area would serve their own signature dishes, however, some are mainstays throughout the country, like the anchovies and pork cheek as shown in the picture. It is also customary to consume a glass of vermouth before or after eating as the sweet aperitif cleanses the palate, and rounds up the usually savoury dishes.
