The highest amount of vitamin A is found in wild spinach or white goosefoot at 11300 IU international unit. Wild spinach scientific name - chenopodium album family - amaranthaceae is a plant that grows in India along with rabi crops. Its herb is used for cooking. Bathua or wild spinach is one such vegetable whose properties are unfamiliar to most of the people. This small looking green plant is very beneficial, its consumption in winter helps in keeping many diseases away. It enhances digestion power, enhances interest in food, eliminates constipation and makes the voice throat sweet.
