It is very suitable for afforestation of streets, where it grows without requirements in terms of soil type. The tree was introduced in Brazil recently, in the late 1970s. today it is included in urban afforestation and in the landscaping of parks in the South and Southeast of the country. Its trunk is short and the rounded crown provides good shade in regions with strong winters, however it accepts the subtropical climate. In landscape settings it should be better enjoyed as the flowering, mixed with the fruits, gives it a very beautiful appearance in early autumn.
