Pictured is colossal statue of the seated King Ramesses II at the entrance to the Colonnade Hall of Amenhotep III and Tutankhamun from the Ramesses II Court of the Luxor Temple in Luxor, Egypt. At his east side are two standing statues of the King between papyrus columns with bud capitals. The Luxor Temple is large ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the ancient city of Thebes, today known as Luxor. The temple was constructed approximately 1400 BCE.
