Castel di Tora is included in the Monte Navegna and Monte Cervia Nature Reserve. An uncontaminated landscape that bears the signs of a suffering agriculture but also of the beauty that enchanted the builders of fortresses and castles. The salubrity of the air, the scents of broom and thyme, the ridges of the mountains with centuries-old chestnut groves, the pure waters, the flight of buzzards, the ancient cart tracks and the paths of transhumance are fragments of a rural civilization that is somehow possible to recover, simply by walking.
