Playa del Peñón is located 6 km from the center of the town of Palma in the neighborhood of Es Coll d'en Rabassa on the west coast of Mallorca. It is a beach with low occupancy, its users are mainly residents of the area. It is a small sandy beach with calm waters protected by a small dike on one of its sides. Playa del Peñón stands out for the clarity of its waters due in part to its sandy seabed and shallow depth. Playa del Peñón is well sheltered from the wind and waves. The access to the sea is with a gentle slope ideal for families with children. From the beach in the distance you can see emblematic buildings of Palma such as the cathedral or the castle of Bellver.
