Gedung Sate is a very popular icon of the city of Bandung, Indonesia. This building is not only an icon of the city, but a historical place as well as a tourist area in Bandung which is visited a lot.Gedung Sate has a long history since the Dutch colonial era. The laying of the first stone was held on 27 July 1920 which was attended by Johanna Catherina Coops who was the eldest daughter of the Mayor of Bandung and B. Coops and Petronella Roelofsen who represented the Governor General in Batavia.
