Well before the age of television or even movies,Lotta Crabtree became the highest paying entertainer for her time,with a carrier starting when she was only six years old,about 1853. Through many wise investments,many in real estate,she was able to maintain her money. This property,on Fair Oaks in The Mission district of San Francisco,was one such property. Like the many other properties she owned across the country,she never actually lived here,it was just an investment. When she sold this land,in 1885,the new owner finally had this duplex home built and had it hooked up to the water supply,the following year. After much bad remodeling through the 1970's,it no longer looks even close to the original. As seen 19 April 2023.
