This means of transportation was created with the intention of faci- itating driving, especially for the-more affluent. It had a regular presence on Avenida do Mar until the end of the 70s.
Built in wicker and wood and without wheels, the seats featured
brightly colored fabrics and were pulled by two oxen guided by a
cattleman.
Oxcarts, however, came into disuse for hygienic reasons and for the circumstances of regional development.
