The marigold flower has the Latin name Tegetes erecta, in several regions in Indonesia, this flower is also known as the chicken dung flower. Traditionally, this flower is often used as a herbal ingredient to treat wounds, cure eye diseases, colds, hemorrhoids, and even boils. Marigold flowers are also known as gemitir or gumitir flowers (Bali Island), widely used as ornamental plants, especially in weddings. It is said that this flower comes from Mexico or Central America. This flower is characterized by being yellow or orange in color with fat, slightly round flowers with stacked petals, there are also white and red flowers. The leaves and stems grow to form a bush with a height that can reach 90 centimeters.
