Panthera pardus is a large carnivorous animal of the mammalian class, feline family, and leopard genus. The spots on the head are small and dense, while the spots on the back are dense and large. The spots have a circular or elliptical plum blossom pattern, similar to ancient copper coins, so they are also known as the "money leopard". It is widely distributed, spanning many regions in Asia and Africa, from the the Himalayas to the Sahara Desert.
