The "lamus" is partially obscured by a tree. On July 26, 2003, the historic parish lamus was opened to the public in Kalinówka Koscielna (Knyszyn municipality). The lamus, dating from 1774, is an example of excellent rural wooden architecture. The balanced proportions of the building's body, good carpentry work, wonderfully elaborated details of the gallery and arcade are qualities worth contemplating, and certainly visiting this monument. The lamus - a place to store farm implements and no longer needed items - by its very nature became a collection of mementos of the past. This is also the function it has been assigned today - collecting and displaying testimonies of the past.
