Orangutans are one of the primates. This animal lives in tropical forests in Indonesia and Malaysia. Orangutans are famous for their distinctive characteristics, namely brownish red fur and long arms which they use to swing in the trees. They are herbivorous animals, most of their diet consists of fruit and leaves. Orangutans are also known for their high level of intelligence and ability to use simple tools. Unfortunately, orangutans are an endangered species due to loss of their habitat and illegal hunting. Protection and conservation of orangutans is essential to ensure the survival of this species in the wild.
