Awen is a Welsh word meaning artistic "inspiration" and, starting from neo-Druidism, it is symbolized by an emblem with three lines converging towards three points and enclosed in one or more concentric circles. According to some druid interpretations, this symbol simultaneously represents the earth, the sea, the air or the body, the mind, the spirit or even love, wisdom and truth. Finally, it is said that Awen indicates inspiration for truth and represents divine energy. In this illustration this interesting symbol is placed within a composition with two double axes and a shield. This image, therefore, combines the aforementioned meanings with those of defense and attack and can be used as decoration for various projects or as a tattoo.
