In the years 1840-43 the local administrator, Fr. Augustyn Sawaszkiewicz demolished the church and built a new one, also made of wood. At the same time, a wooden, six-sided bell tower was built next to the church. In 1882, thanks to the efforts of Fr. Jan Kiersnowski, a brick bell tower was erected.In 1900, the faithful started trying to build a new brick church. After numerous petitions and efforts, permission was received in 1906. In the years 1907-12, a temple was built in the Vistula-Baltic neo-Gothic style, designed by Stefan Szyller. All the work was organized by the parish priest, Fr. Ludwik Ba?oban.On November 30, 1912, the church was consecrated by the administrator of the Vilnius diocese, Fr. Kazimierz Michalkiewicz. The furnishing lasted until 1928, when on May 15, Archbishop Romuald Ja?brzykowski consecrated the temple. Subsequent parish priests maintained and beautified the temple.
