Actress, dancer, and singer, Chita Rivera has been nominated for performances in 10 Broadway productions and is winner of 2 Tony Awards. She was a queen of the musical stage. Here she is captured arriving at the 72nd Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on June 10, 2018. On this evening she was presented with an honorary Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre. She has appeared on numerous television shows and films in her over 6-decade career. Rivera was the first Puerto Rican and first Latina to earn the Kennedy Center Honors and is a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She died in New York City after a brief illness, on January 30, 2024. She was 91
