White expanses of fields and forests are interspersed with the domes of Orthodox churches and church towers, smoke billows from the chimneys of small cottages and herds of bisons march majestically through the fields... In the cities there is a race for the most beautiful Christmas decorations and due to the temperatures you can eat hearty smoked meats with impunity, washing them down with the legendary moonshine.
