Every year in France, classes are canceled in small towns. These class closures and the elimination of school teaching positions are carried out by the Ministry of National Education due to demographic variations. There are numerous protests every year and signs flourish around the schools concerned.In 2024, the north of Meurthe et Moselle will be affected again, with for example closures in Mont-Bonvillers, Longuyon, Moutiers, and new actions by parents of students are carried out in Mercy-le-Haut, Boudrezy, and in several small villages in the countryside.
