Es Fortí is an old military fortress and viewpoint located in the southeast of the island of Mallorca, in Cala d'Or. Es Fortí is located between the bay of Cala Llonga and very close to the port of Cala d'Or. The military base was built in 1730 with a garrison with four cannons, three sentry boxes and a defensive corps made up of 1 sergeant and 19 soldiers. In 1755 there was a tsunami on the coast of Santanyí that destroyed this fortification completely, and they rebuilt it in 1793
