Pictured is the 1983 Texas Historical Commission Offical Historical Medallion for the Uvalde County Courthouse in downtown Uvalde, Texas. The structure was completed in 1928 and is the fifth for Uvalde County which was created in 1856. The architect was Henry T. Phelps and the prominent local builder was M. H. Ryland. The style is neo-classical and outstanding features include its cast stone segmental arches and iconic porticoes at the entrances.
