Thunbergia erecta (Benth.) T. Anders. is a plant species of the genus Apocynaceae in the family Apocynaceae. Upright shrub, up to 2 meters tall, with 4-sided stems and many branches. Initially sparsely covered with pubescence, it soon falls off into a hairless state. Only the base of the branches in the leaf axils at the nodes is covered with yellow brown pubescence. Leaves with 2-5 mm petioles Leaves nearly leathery, ovate to ovate lanceolate, sometimes rhombic.
