A symbiotic and mutualistic relationship exists between the Clownfish and its host the anemone. Each benefits from the presence of the other although the relationship is not fully understood. The nematocysts or stinging cells of the anemone protect the fish and the fish may ward off predators of the anemone. The Clownfish also help cleaning the anemone, removing waste matter and parasites. The colourful combination and behaviour make them a favourite with divers and photographers
