A very nice, medium-high ornamental onion with star-shaped, violet flowers that multiplies quickly. Blooms late in the spring, for about 4 weeks in May and June, with flower stems of approximately 60 centimeters high. The almost round flowers, like a ball, consist of about 200 star flowers and have a total flower diameter of about 10 centimeters. It produces sturdy flower stems that grow from a clump of 30 centimeter long, slender leaves. This property makes it ideal to plant the flower bulbs between low perennials.
