The castle had two walls, one that protected the interior enclosure and went from the tower to the entrance towers and of which only the bases remain. The other protected the entire stone on which the tower and the inner enclosure and the outer enclosure or parade ground are built. Only one section of wall and the bases of the rest remain of this wall. The walls that protected the town begin from the outer enclosure.These walls formed 2 enclosures. The first enclosure was built by Alfonso VII and has the doors of La Nevera, Arrebatacapas and de la Guerra, and the arches of the Virgin and the Old School. Its purpose was to protect the town, but as it grew it later had to be expanded.
