Mrs Gould's Sunbird - This is a bird with subspecies, of which the subspecies in Da Lat is endemic to VietnamIt is a species of bird belonging to the order Passeriformes, family Nectariniidae. The scientific name is Aethopyga gouldiae (Vigors, 1831). The size of the bird is small with a length of about 11 - 16cm. Identifying characteristics: Main fur colors include yellow and red. The top of the head is green, the throat is red, and the belly is bright yellow.This is a bird with subspecies, of which the subspecies in Da Lat is endemic to Vietnam (Aethopyga gouldiae annamensis). recorded in the Da Lat Plateau. Habitat is usually evergreen broadleaf forest, mixed coniferous forest, usually distributed at altitudes from 1000 to 2500m above sea level. It is a resident bird, often living in pairs or small flocks. Food is mainly nectar, spiders and some other insects. Pairing and breeding from April to August, the nest is pear-shaped or oval in size about 14-17cm. Located on the IUCN Red List, LC level.
