Dipterocarpus sublamellatus or Keruing Padi (in Malay) is a member of Dipterocarpaceae family with native distribtion in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. One of the most important timber trees in Malaysia, it is used for general purpose in building construction. The tree has beautiful green, ovate to elliptical leaves with clear venation. Dipterocarpaceae is in The Malaysia Plant Red List and the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species.
