The bronze sculpture group "The builder and destroyer Tisza" fountain. The destructive Tisza is symbolized by an angry man riding on carp, who grabs a young mother with his left hand and his son with his right. The main figure is probably Triton, who belonged to the Greek sea god Poseidon, Triton pronounced his master's orders with his snail trumpet. Other names of the fountain are the "Fountain of Nayads" and "Dormant and angry Lake Balaton". Szeged is the third largest city of Hungary, the largest city and regional centre of the Southern Great Plain and the county seat of Csongrad-Csanad county. Szeged is known as the home of paprika, a spice made from dried, powdered capsicum fruits. Szeged is situated near the southern border of Hungary, just to the south of the mouth of the Maros River, on both banks of the Tisza River, nearly in the centre of the Carpathian Basin. The Hungarian frontier with Serbia is just outside the town.
